Think a lot of y'all know me from the other site, but I'm going to pin this here with a thread of some links of what I actually do for those who don't know.

I'm 2.5 years into a job covering South Carolina, and before that freelanced in Georgia, mostly doing high school sports, UGA and Tech.

Cade Cunningham is just a Capital-D Dude, man.

Man, Joel Embiid is just a really tough watch in 2025. You can see him wanting to make the basketball decisions he used to make on offense, and then his body won't really let him do that anymore. A couple times he's wanted to drive or seek contact but pulled up.

Tired: Nick Saban would come out of retirement to coach LSU.

I don’t understand how this is even a question. Is Ole Miss supposed to give the coach of a rival access to its building and personnel for a month? That would be a scandal in any other sport! Imagine if the Rams or Seahawks gave Kyle Shanahan the keys to their building for a month just because!
The opportunity cost of coaching this team through the postseason is maybe not being the next LSU head coach.

The opportunity cost of being the next LSU head coach is not getting to coach this team through the postseason.

Most adults understand choices come with a price!

Lane Kiffin doing this on a Sunday morning is going to create soooooo much church sermon fodder across Mississippi.

Dude the actual college football was so much more interesting than the coach who couldn’t decide what team he wants to coach. Hold onto that

The three worst things any Alabama coach can do to that fan base, in order:

1. Lose to Auburn
2. Miss the playoff
3. Miss the SEC title game

Doing all three at once by blowing a 17-0 lead feels like it would be fairly catastrophic for DeBoer!

How did we get to a point where a Miami with two losses to soon-to-be unranked teams is the martyr for the entire playoff system, it wouldn't even be the biggest ACC snub of the last 24 months?
This might be an unpopular take ... but if I'm the ACC and Cal upsets SMU, I override the tiebreakers and put Miami in the ACC championship game against Virginia.

Absolute waste by Auburn there, what purpose does blasting that into row 17 serve
Also my strongest held football belief is every single time you kick from the 50 you should onside it. Score and time is irrelevant. The yardage is about the same if you fail and there’s a chance to steal a possession.

A modest proposal to solve this possible ive-loss ACC champion thing:
UConn needs to play up the "undefeated in regulation" thing LSU did in 2007.

On a related note Zach Lowe's new podcast has rocketed up my list over the last month or so, highly recommend if you're into the NBA.

How many people are turning on the Territorial Cup and just now learning Jeff Sims is still playing college football?

Risacher for 3, Hawks get a stop, NAW for 3, Hawks up six with 47 seconds to go.
November 29, 2025 at 2:57 AM
123-123 with under 90 seconds to go. Mitchell has 42. Jalen Johnson is one assist away from a 28-point triple-double. This has been a fantastic, fantastic basketball game.
November 29, 2025 at 2:53 AM
Cavs on a 10-0 run and take the lead with 5:27 to go. Mitchell up to 37 points.
November 29, 2025 at 2:46 AM
Hawks up 97-90 after three. Mitchell has 26, NAW 25.

If I had a nickel for every former Virginia Tech player who wore #7 playing for an Atlanta bird team and excelled at running into space on offense, I'd have 10 cents. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird there's been two.

(Nickeil Alexander-Wlaker up to 25 points, Hawks lead by nine)

The shot clock apparently malfunctioned during halftime and they're just announcing over the PA every time it gets under 10. It's going well.
November 29, 2025 at 1:59 AM
Cavs lead the Hawks 62-60 at the half. There were 15 lead changes in a pretty frantic second quarter. Both teams an identical 44.9% from the floor. Donovan Mitchell is doing his thing with 22 points. A fan just hit a halfcourt shot in a halftime contest. Fun times all around.
November 29, 2025 at 1:40 AM
Donovan Mitchell has heated up very quickly. 1-for-5 to start the game, hit four in a row since and has 18 points. Cavs up four.
November 29, 2025 at 1:22 AM
Hawks lead the Cavs 33-23 after a quarter, keyed by a 21-4 run. Solid job on Donovan Mitchell (mostly by Dyson Daniels) holding him to one made FG. Mo Gueye has 10 points.
