Brit in the EU
did they include a a letter to Jim'll fix it to make the Epstein files go away?
November 11, 2025 at 11:51 PM
I assume they've finished redacting the Epstein files then.

That's why Trump pardoned these morons, because they won't know the answer.
November 11, 2025 at 7:54 PM
Is it possible they've overreached this time?
November 11, 2025 at 7:51 PM
Tiniest glimpse of a naicent spine?

We've got used to the Kremlin interfering in our politics, even though we're not very good at countering it, what the hell we're going to do now the Kremlin and the White House have joined forces is anyone's guess.

There's also the fact that the US wanted nothing to do with it until it affected them too, Pearl Harbour, the Lucitania, the Zimmermann telegram etc.
Every time the US tries to withdraw from the world it ends in disaster for them. Trump will be no different.
November 11, 2025 at 7:34 PM
They need us more than we need them! Again.
November 11, 2025 at 7:26 PM
Which is precisely why Trump is trying to intimidate the BBC in the same way he has the US media.
November 11, 2025 at 11:30 AM
Thing is the BBC is looking to expand in the US where it is second only to The Weather channel in terms of trust, obviously Trump can't tolerate any media that doesn't breathlessly repeat his lies so, hey presto, Trump sycophants attack the BBC.
November 11, 2025 at 10:35 AM
It tells you something when the two loudest voices decrying the BBC's lack of honesty and integrity are Donald Trump and Boris Johnson.

At some point we, as in the rest of the world, are going to have to stand up to this gangster. The cost of not doing so will be much greater. They always come back for more. Have we really not learnt this lesson yet?
November 10, 2025 at 10:42 PM
A great patriot paper speaks. Can you see it now?
November 10, 2025 at 10:38 PM
My Grandkids, who go to primary school in France turned up with a map of GB that included the Republic of Ireland and NI. I explained to them that's not quite right and they should explain it to their teacher because teachers love that. Spoiler, they don't and they, wisely, didn't.
November 10, 2025 at 8:08 PM
Ah yes, I remember David Davis talking about "our internal border with southern Ireland" and how outrageous it was that the Northern Irish tail was wagging the English dog. Didn't they know we used to have an Empire?
November 10, 2025 at 7:32 PM
And yet the main instigator of Brexit is (according to the polls) the most popular politician in the UK.
November 10, 2025 at 10:01 AM
I keep having flashbacks to 2016 when Cameron threw bone after bone to the ERG and they swallowed every one whole and demanded more. You can't appease these people and there's no point in trying.
November 9, 2025 at 7:50 PM
Might I suggest they study the French revolution? This all sounding a bit "let them eat cake". It didn't end well for the Donald Trumps and Elon Musks of the day.
November 9, 2025 at 3:41 PM
If, God forbid, LePen ever gets into power, here in France we may face the same dilemma.
November 8, 2025 at 8:25 PM
Can one of these ministers explain in what way the UK is a soft touch compared to most European countries who have much more generous benefits? Or why the UK is sixteenth in the list of European asylum claims per head?
Or are they so terrified of the Daily Mail that facts don't matter.
November 8, 2025 at 8:22 PM
Do they still have to renounce their British citizenship? Don't know but I thought that had been softened after Brexit, or was that Germany?
What I do know is that the UK government jacked up the cost of renouncing UK citizenship dramatically after Brexit.
November 8, 2025 at 8:15 PM
Well, Brexit didn't work so now we're going to leave the ECHR to see if that solves all our problems. If it doesn't there's loads of other stuff to leave UN, NATO, G7, Solar System etc.
