A core part of the Democratic platform is that government can improve citizens’ lives. Taking 6 years to redesign a road makes a mockery of that, and exemplifies everything the Republican platform would tell you about government’s dysfunction. We need to do better.

If that’s not an indictment of US driving culture I don’t know what is. “Drivers may not like these cars because they drive safely”.

We can tackle climate change… as long as doing so has zero economic impact and doesn’t inconvenience us whatsoever. It better not cost more than a Spotify subscription.

My frustration with Markey running for re-election only grew after I saw Chuck Schumer (age 74) successfully recruited Janet Mills (age 77) to run for Senate in Maine. She will be 79 when she's seated, if she wins. The oldest freshman senator ever. Why is the party so damn old?

They so badly need more of those CRRCs in service.

I think the Red is doomed to a certain amount of terribleness until enough CRRC trains come online. Rolling stock is just too old.

And to be clear, this doesn’t involve any delays on the lines. This is normal service on a Wednesday.

Anyone else remember that it took the Legislature multiple attempts to ban child marriage? It’s that bad.

Also Mariano is a dinosaur and it’s insane that he’s running again.

Yes, but it doesn’t have any funding, really. AFAIK it’s in the T’s CIP but just for studies.

Now imagine if Healey hadn’t also slashed capital gains taxes.
