Currently in my camera bag (post cleanout): a digital camera (Fuji X-T5), a Kodak stereo camera, a Nikonos underwater camera, some film, some hard drives, cables, extra batteries, markers, two vintage lenses, filters, a tripod plate, and a remote for an RGB LED strip for some reason. 📷📸

Some things I've seen around Ogden lately. 📷📸
Three tall trees with very yellow leaves at the edge of a rough, unkept lot. The sky behind them is the pale slightly greenish blue found in old photographs. A lot filled with dirt and gravel. Boulders line its edge, and beyond that, trees, just starting to turn yellow. Through a gap in the trees a rough green field is visible, beyond which is an apartment building, then blue mountains, then white clouds stretched across a pale blue sky. I've always loved this view of Ogden because it's like you're coming out of the wilderness into a fortified city, but instead of the city walls, you see the apartments, strangely castle like in the distance. The Ogden LDS (Mormon) temple as seen from the top of a nearby parking garage. It's daytime, but the sky is artificially dark. Deep bluish purple, almost black. Behind the temple are purplish mountains. In front of it, dark green trees and a light colored railing, with a few parking spaces in the foreground. The temple's bright white facade stands our with harsh contrast against the more subdued values around it, which is made more dramatic by the hard shadows of afternoon. A green ghost in a green place. Someone wearing a ghost costume made of a green bedsheet and sunglasses stands between green bushes and green vines winding up a tall tree. A river is visible behind the tree in one corner of the frame. Most of the frame is a study in different shades of green, with a little brown mixed in.

Found another excellent $8 thrift store jacket so I can once again be the weird one at church. Some people spend $1000 on a suit to look just like everyone else. I spend $8 and don't seem to care how I look.

The only hiccups are one of the levers that separates the two halves of the body is missing, and the glass on the bottom that lets you see the shot count is cracked. A little creativity with the belt clip my dad gave me and I was able to get it separated.

The initial cleanup went well, and all of thr mechanisms seem to work perfectly, once I got the dirt off. The seals are all intact and seem in good condition.📸📷

Time for some supporting evidence. These were all made with a Fujifilm X-T5 using the Acros film simulation. Most aren't edited at all, but a few are lightly edited. 📸 📷

Rare find at the thrift store today. This is a film photography camera designed for underwater use. Because it's waterproof and rugged, this line of cameras was used by embedded photographers in Vietnam. It was cheap enough to buy just for the history, but now I get to see if it works. 📸📷
A Nikonos camera. It has a black metal body with a black lens with a silver ring around it, and little knobs sticking off it for adjusting settings. One knob is cork colored, the other is black.

Not a lot has gone well in the garden this year but I do love how this sweet alyssum has been thriving in the shadow of the coleus. 🌱
