I mask to protect myself and my community, yes. But I also mask as a form of swanky af resistance in the face of fascism. Look at these majestic mask options. LOOK AT THEM! 😻
i am begging you to see wearing a mask as the act of daily solidarity with your fellow man that you are looking for. now is the time.

if you don’t know where to start, see some brands i like n wear in the vid, &
if you need free masks (or want to donate some), try:

Tech companies will tell you to not bring politics to work. Then do this.

Airbnb is spending $1M in ads to attack opponents of Cuomo for not supporting short-term rentals.

Whether you're pro or anti-Airbnb, they shouldn't influence elections.

The tech giant is going after Mamdani, Stringer and Lander — which only helps Cuomo.

Did you know the “weekend” and working only 8 hours per day used to be considered a radical, liberal idea?

139 years ago today, in Bay View, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 7 workers (including a 13 yo) lost their lives to advance this revolutionary idea.

I cannot emphasize enough how much stories like this are a form of uncritical advertising for AI companies.

I understand the impulse to take them at their word when they wonder aloud if their giant matrix multiplication engines are about to become sentient, but it should be resisted.

I had a joke about Orpheus, but it was kind of sad in hindsight.
I had a joke about Eris’s Apple of Discord but only one of you would get it.
I had a joke about Cassandra but you wouldn’t believe it when I told you

I'm not sure which of you need to hear this, but:

If you push yourself to your limits and burn out for a company, you are trading years of your future productivity for minor gains in the present.

Burning out will _fuck you up_, it's like brain fog or depression, and it takes years to recover

You know the culture is changing when the hairdresser you've gone to for 20 years casually drops the R word 2x in conversation. Never heard her say it before 😬

Drake’s fall from grace—from pop superstar to rap beef punchline—is proof that we as a nation can turn away from Trumpism with the proper amount of ridicule and grassroots communal celebration

As someone who has reported on AI for 7 years and covered China tech as well, I think the biggest lesson to be drawn from DeepSeek is the huge cracks it illustrates with the current dominant paradigm of AI development. A long thread. 1/

You can honor David Lynch by wearing a mask in public.

He had to begin isolating at home because he has emphysema- a COVID infection would likely be fatal- and no one wears masks anymore.

Millions of others like him (including myself) were left behind when COVID measures were abandoned
