Kinda random slice-of-lifey, and I'm a bit late by now, but I wanted to wrap up ace week by sharing a lil bit more of my married life with my queerplatonic partner, so there we go.

Day 3 of #aceweek and day I-don't-know-how-many of me trying to best articulate the issues I have with how asexual and aromantic characters are treated in fandom, forever hoping to get the point across

Asexuality and aromanticism don't imply one another, and also, they're spectrums. Some asexuals aren't OK with having sex, others are. Same with romance for aromantics. My partner's OK with the "gay" umbrella, meanwhile I'm mainly on board with either #asexual, or if need be "queer" or LGBTQ/LGBTQIA. That said "ace" is also kind of an umbrella technically, and afaik neither my partner or I use microlabels for ourselves much so... Diff'rent strokes ig!

A comic titled "ON NOT BEING LONG-DISTANCE WITH MY QPP ANYMORE." My personal commentary is: I guess I notice it in "smaller" ways than one might expect. We don't have sex, and I can sleep just fine without cuddles, so it's not like this is a "void filled" for me. The affection is a nice bonus, of course, but... I think it's having someone next to me for comfort when I'm not doing great that's the biggest day-to-day gamechanger to me. This text is juxtaposed to images of my spouse comforting me through a leg cramp and administrative turmoil.
