I got it!! It was November 10, 2016, the day I recorded original Nostalgic Tengu in the Rain... totally legally obtained Cubase 5, on a shitty integrated PC audio card, with basically no mixing, on the most scuffed setup imaginable. It's a miracle that something came out of it.

I know this ship is super basic, but when a few years ago I saw Aya with this INSANELY ANDROGYNOUS Momiji drawn by kobuushi (@/yodorokagyu on twitter), I was fucking destroyed. This dynamic speaks to me on such a personal level that it immediately became my headcannon forever.

Tonight I saw a videogame in my dream that felt like a love child of Cuphead, Nier, and Kannazuki no Miko. It was a beautiful 2.5D side scroller that played very similar to Cuphead, but had anime aesthetic. You played as a miko girl searching for her lost lover (also a girl).
