This year, the U.S. government did not make a formal commitment on World AIDS Day, marking the first time in 37 years that it has not joined a chorus of nations in the fight against HIV/AIDS. www.npr.org/sections/goa...

We are deeply saddened by the death of Blanca Martínez, director of longtime AJWS partner Fray Juan de Larios. Blanca was a leader in the movement to end disappearances in Mexico and support the families of the disappeared. May her memory be a blessing and a revolution. #HastaEncontrarles

Victory in Kenya! AJWS partners deCOALonize, Save Lamu and Katiba Institute have been fighting against the construction of a coal-fired power plant since 2016. A rollercoaster of legal battles finally culminated in a win for justice today.
Judgment Update:

The Malindi Environment and Land Court has upheld the National Environment Tribunal's 2019 decision to cancel the licence for the proposed Lamu Coal Power Plant.
