Atrocious refereeing decision aside, #avfc seem to have an issue with teams who play 3-4-3.
Palace, Wolves and now Utd have all caused us multiple issues and we haven’t come close to looking like we have any idea how to counteract it.
Still, a summer refresh will no doubt happen so bring it on!

I want UCL and it would be great, but if not I’m absolutely fine with having a right go at winning one of the other two.

Quick point about the Jack booing yesterday.
Whilst I totally get his decision to leave from a professional POV football is emotional and tribal.
The fact is he was living every #avfc supporters dream. Captain. Best player. Hero.
And it *still*wasn’t enough for him, and that’s what hurt.

Love the 5-4-1 out of possession/ 3-5-2 in possession set up
Stupid goal conceded aside we’ve looked composed and solid and could have scored more with a better final ball

Another Champions League night at Villa Park!!
The last time we played in this competition was just before I was born so regardless of current form or final result I am going to make sure I soak it all in - you never know how long it may be until we are back.

A frustrating afternoon where we were playing catch up from the off.
Defensively we have to do better to be the kind of team we want to become but..
The league is so congested and its still all to play for and I believe it will click at some point so keep the faith!
