A picture of Parambanan in Indonesia. This is taken with my eccentric Holga120n. It has a shutter that sticks sometimes and exposes for longer than it should - hence the camera shake. It won’t please the photographers obsessed by sharp lens, but I like it as it expresses something meaningful.

Transformation of travel in Paris has been rapid:
—Car traffic down 45% since 2001
—Bike use doubled since last year on major axes at peak hours
—Bike use higher than car use on many roads

This was enabled by massive installation of cycleways citywide

Had a great afternoon with Occupational Medicine trainees in #Singapore talking about ethics today. This is an area of #bioethics with little literature. Not the #technosexy topics beloved of the mainstream. Needs some work!

Now that I'm here on Bluesky I'll post some highlights from the last 13+ years of #HoPWaG podcasts. First up, a recent interview with the great Kenyan author Ngugi wa Thiong'o; getting to meet him was a real honor and thrill!

These ruined gates are at Bukit Brown cemetery in Singapore. It is the time of the Hungry Ghost Festival here, so even more topical to hang around graveyards taking pictures with my film cameras. Or at least, that’s my story.
