Went to the Universal Standard sample sale today, and was like “it’s right next to a light rail stop! Easy peasy.”

The morning has not been easy peasy, but I scored a real live prototype top so I am pleased with the trip.

This is what my cat does when she wants me to play with her. She just sits and stares at me like this. (She got 15 minutes of play time on the stairs—her favorite—and now she’s asleep under a blanket.)

Over at a friend’s house for dinner. Their dog Max loves me.

I got power back yesterday afternoon! Safe, warm, and hosting some friends and their dog today while they wait for their own power to come back. Merrill is not amused by the presence of the dog.

Power has been out since 11 last night, with no estimate on when it might come back. Fortunately, it’s not that cold out, and I have emergency PTO for exactly this kind of thing. Catching up on my TBR pile while I wait to see if the power will be back today.

Merrill says that it’s a good day to have a Monday. I don’t know if in agree.
