A new telescope facility is born 🌟, #4MOST captured its first starlight 💫 An impressive example of international cooperation.

4MOST can analyse the light from 2,400 objects simultaneously in 18,000 colours.

Ein Team des AIP hat den #Herzschlag eines Sterns entdeckt, der unserer #Sonne sehr ähnlich ist. Die Studie basiert auf fast drei Jahren hochpräziser Beobachtungen und liefert Erkenntnisse wie Sterne ihre #Magnetfelder erzeugen und sich weiter entwickeln. ☀️🔭👩‍💻

Farewell, Gaia - Spacecraft operations come to an end 🛰👋 Today, 27 March 2025, Gaia’s control team at ESA’s European Space Operations Centre carefully switched off the spacecraft’s subsystems and sent it into a ‘retirement orbit’ around the Sun. ☀️
