My service dog Maupin #MaupinBoppin let me know in no uncertain terms that he was keeping his name. He was rescued with 14 siblings and they were all named after famous queer people/authors because they were rescued during Pride Month. 🏳️‍🌈

Spending a full 8 hour day on #ServiceDog training to, at, and from the airport, in preparation for a long flight coming up soon. #MaupinBoppin is doing a great job. We've come a long way since his first flight back in October. I'm very proud. (See alt text for details)
Maupin the golden service dog in a pink service dog vest and harness, getting acclimated to travel mode. I let him sit on my lap on the bus and it helped with the settling in. Maupin doing a good "settle" on his mat in front of my feet on the BART train. This is the closest practice we can get to airplane travel. He did so well, he settled within a minute of me putting the mat down. A+! Good boy! Maupin at the airport settling right next to his mat on a retro swirly rug. We are practicing doing nothing and ignoring everyone, including other dogs, which is the hardest part.

Been keeping up with my "have more fun" goals. Here's me and cute puppies at the park. Keeping myself busy has mostly been working, but I'm not sure I can keep up with this level of summer fun forever. 😅😎 Highly recommend overall, though. What a nice break from anxiety and overwhelm. 😊
