Make sure you are up to date on CASA Maryland's legislative agenda for 2025. The Assembly session is going on now! Call your Maryland delegate to ask them to support. If you're not in Maryland, share your local immigrant advocacy group's leg agenda so we can publicize.

Whenever the media or transphobes talk about mental health and suicide rates of trans kids, they are always deliberately concealing the fact that trans healthcare brings trans kids to the same place as cis kids on these things

Since we love the little canine echoes from the past, here’s another lovely one from a dog in ancient Ur.

The cuneiform inscription names king Ur-Nammu who ruled around 2100 BCE.

I would suggest people look up not just McCarthyism but the Mississippi State Sovereignty Commission. We have our own homegrown examples of what we are witnessing.
There’s something to be said about how Americans can only conceptualize of bad things as Nazi/Soviet and how that’s just made them completely incapable of placing them into a true historical and political context
“One administration employee who received the email urging employees to report their colleagues said it made them feel as though they were being recruited into the Gestapo. Another employee told The Times that the directive to report colleagues made him feel as if he was living in the Soviet Union.”
