At #UCL-SSEES I dove into the very strong Balkan cultural bond with the broom, the rolling pin & of course - Баба Рога /Baba Yaga / Jaga baba😂 My folk tale ended up involving domestic violence 🫣… but hey, we grew up with these stories and for many in the Balkans, that’s just our folklore ‘normal’. 🤷🏼♀️

The lack of empathy for the protesters from others and especially security really stood out. We often say Trump is the one without it, but empathy seems in short supply all around. 😔

My hubby was also sceptical.
Me: grabbed a jacket, walked 10 min, and watched the sky throw a free glow-stick party - and dragged the sceptical hubby as well. 😆 Freezing but worth!
