I’m really not sure what to make of this book. Quite a lot to wrap my head around. And in.

I realized early on that it was just a Chandler/hammet-esque detective story and that I don’t need to focus on the complicated plot and just follow the dialogue. Combined some of my great appreciations.

My grandfather wrote this book, Alias Big Cherry. It’s been on the shelf in every home I’ve ever lived in. I finally read it. I’ve read most of his books—this is my favorite. Added intrigue for me because he references himself as “a reporter” throughout the book.

I started A Small Town In Germany a few days ago. I enjoy Le Carre when I’m in the right mindset. This is a fun one. Underrated.

I might try doing this a little differently and just keep posting to this same feed as I read new books and comment on the finished ones.

I continue my rereading of West novels with Miss Lonleyhearts (which I actually finished yesterday)

Sometimes you find a book in your library and you don’t remember how it got there, or why you initially picked it up—and you read it.

Would have started this one sooner. Cant believe I get a new Herron book and a new Byrne album in the same month. I am blessed.

Rereading one of my favorite authors. I need more surrealism in this time of the surreal.

When I say I’ve been delinquent, I finished Jo Nesbo’s Nemesis last night. But I never mentioned that I started it. Great read for fans of Nesbo and the Hope series, but a little too gritty for me. Nesbo enjoys writing the bad guys too much for my taste. #booksky

I’ve been really delinquent in updating my reading–just started Robert Sheckley’s The Journey Of Joenes. #booksky

Without question the greatest movie ever made.

Before we went on our honeymoon, I insisted that my wife watch Sneakers with me. For we had never been to Tahiti—together.

Oh right. I’m finally reading The Bad Guys Won by Jeff Pearlman. Usually I read baseball books during spring training, but I needed something positive during the Mets collapse. #booksky 💙📚

So I started A Walk In The Woods by Bill Bryson last night. I was laughing a lot in bed, I think to the point of annoyance. #booksky 💙📚

Started another collection of in-between-book short stories. It’s fun to go back to source materials for so many later works. The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes by A. Conan Doyle

A few days ago I started Network Effect by Martha Wells. I enjoyed the first several Murderbot books and the first season was fun. I only just learned that this and subsequent novels were already available. #booksky 📚💙

I bet the Mets record when Alvarez starts over the last two years is by far and away the best record in baseball.
