Apple just reset all expectations for mixed reality with their extremely impressive vision for spacial computing. The goggles will shrink, the price will drop, and they will absolutely dominate this new market. https://www.apple.com/apple-vision-pro/

If you’re interview prepping and you’ve never heard of neetcode, you should check it out. Really simplifies the leetcode grind.

🚀 big upgrade to Firesky search today:
- from:handle queries to filter down to a handle or handles
- from:handle queries look further back than the standard 4 hours
- from:handle queries constrain the search when including other terms!

Was drinking from the Bsky firehose, and what is going on with the encoding??? Had to snag some code from a public GitHub repo to figure out how to decode.

@johnspurlock.com hey can I ask you a question? What kind of machine do you have ingesting the firehouse? Are you able to keep up with it in real-time or do you need a queue service?

Very thankful for fraud detection today. Someone tried to charge $400 to my card to a wig shop in China.

The baby is now almost 8 weeks old and she has nearly doubled in weight. I always thought that people were exaggerating when they said babies grow fast.

@pfrazee.com hey, again! Sorry to pester, but I have another q about the atproto. Is there a way cursor can be used to indicate a more specific query with timestamps? I'm using getAuthorFeed, but would like to get records before a certain time. Thanks again. Also feel free 2 point me 2 someone else

I love watching people play this genre of game. I just gave it a go and just stressed myself out.
Okay... basically everyone on social media (and plenty of people off social media) have very strong opinions on how content moderation should work. But very few of them have actually *done* content moderation...

@pfrazee.com Hey, Paul. I’m not seeing post search in the docs. Is that something that is being worked on now and will be released later to the docs? I see it’s an ability now in the app which is why I ask. Thanks for your time!

An idea:
Exploring the social graph via vr.
As you go, you parkour jump from thread to user to reply, generating and exploring paths depending on your interests, you can put skeeters/skeets in a bag to explore later.

Recently started watching the Matrix movies again. The fighting scenes are a bit much, but I’m really enjoying them.

Wonder what the churn rate was for Bard. I used it once and never went back. Couldn’t do half as much as ChatGPT

Had a strange experience last week like this where the words تجاعيد (wrinkles) kept randomly popping up in my head. Still not sure what that was about but if I lose my mind, I guess you now know how it started.

had the most bizarre dream in which the word “tabernacle” was floating in my head (i didn’t know what it means) for subjective hours, and my mind was trying to figure out what it means, settling on it being a name of an albanian youtube personality, a golden-haired girl that reviews chocolate

There is a man who works at the Publix bakery near my office who is very nice, and I rely on him to recap the newest episodes of Boruto as I choose between the apple turnover and black and white cookie each time. A great human interaction every couple weeks.

Thinking of natural languages in terms of family relations eg sisters, cousins, daughters, is interesting also because it captures the idea of influence languages have between each other, like real families.
