as a reporter, the part of this that i’ve simply never understood is how the next person to ask a question when he does something like this doesn’t simply repeat the question that set him off. it’s not just solidarity with your colleague, it’s an important question that remains worth asking
I’m not going to pretend it’s easy to say something in the moment when you witness the president do this and you’re aboard Air Force One with all the uniformed officers and secret service and fancy wood accents, but this is really an instance where you should. people.com/donald-trump...

For 61 years the #BBCWorldService has been broadcasting the latest in science via its weekly Science in Action programme. That dies in the next half hour, with this final edition, reflecting on the fall in trust in expertise driven by malign interests over recent years.

For more information about the Friday night massacre at CDC, I wrote up an analysis of who got terminated and what that means for public health.

Grateful to @saveamericamvmt.bsky.social for supporting and amplifying. We are in really terrible trouble.

@peaseroland.bsky.social Very disappointed to find out at the end of today's Science in Action that the show is ending in three weeks . The best science show/podcast available anywhere.

Sure the news can edit Trump's speech to highlight that he's a total country destroying madman, or they can edit a version where it looks like he's giving a tough talk. Which do you suppose they'll go with?

The flew the entire military leadership in so they could see for themselves that the Secretary of Defense is a mouthbreathing dipshit and the Commander in Chief is a senile, weak old man who might keel over at any moment.

Oh dear the journalists vanity has got their little pictures in to the minute by minutes. That was the start of the downfall years ago when journalists thought we were interested in what they looked like. Why not put the headline writes face in as well

When did we decide the public realm was better as private property? Who thought it would be better to make pavements more difficult to move along safely especially for those with no other choices?

More public transport, pedestrian and wheeler hatred from the council.
They could have started this 10 m further on and had no disruption to bus users, but they simply do not care. Make the people with impairments travel a round about route to get to a bus especially if it is raining.

Release some trailers showing Trump as Putin's lap dog, you have to do it.

Blind and other visually impaired people do not in general reach 4 points in a category but can achieve PIP levels across sections accumulating points.A blanket 4 points in a section or nothing would re move PIP/ADP from most blind/partially sighted, working or not www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...

Since the government forgot about accessible versions of their disability cuts consultation BBC In Touch did a special about them . VIP people who need PIP generally do not get 4 points in a bracket but an accumulation across activities ( 14 minutes )

No longer shocked by how much Glasgow council hates walkers/wheelers and the endless amounts of money they spend to appease vehicle owners. Take a safe pavement and just throw money away making it worse for those who use it. I guess Three Judges doesn't get outdoor seating either.
