The headline should say clearly BUT NOTHING WILL CHANGE!
*National has been mobilized through at least Nov. 30
*The federal LEO surge will NOT end
*Muriel has already pledged to collaborate with feds to the full extent permitted under DC law
But the most important part: Congress will repeal DC’s

Whenever I read studies
with findings such as:
“Alzheimer Disease Patients

Have Rapid Disease Progression

I am reminded
that none of us have truly
“Survived COVID-19,”
we are still just trying to survive it.

Jesus Christ. The hits just keep coming. I hate it here. #FreeDC
After being gone for 7 weeks, the House next week will vote on two bills impacting DC: the “District of Columbia Cash Bail Reform Act of 2025” (H.R. 5214) & the “Common-Sense Law Enforcement and Accountability Now in (CLEAN) DC Act of 2025” (H.R. 5107): rules.house.gov/media/announ...

This fool! She legitimately thought that negotiating with a bully would get the bully off her back, but she’s bent all the way over (more than we knew!) & keeps learning what was painfully obvious to everyone before Nov ‘24: Better to go down fighting than lose your soul in appeasement. #FreeDC

Get your coffee from NOT Starbucks today. Found this resource to help you look for unionized coffee (ty Reddit) but hey— a locally owned establishment will do (as long as they didn’t try to put over 100 additional people on their payroll ahead of a union vote).
As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

Hey @cmbrookepinto.bsky.social why don’t you GAF about people being violently kidnapped on DC streets? This is not public safety.

Muriel Trump thinks you’re dumb. @mayorbowser.dc.gov insists she’s not lying when she says MPD doesn’t do immigration enforcement while more than a dozen officers inflict trauma on one person and the community around them at a time. Always record the police, even for minor traffic stops. #FreeDC
Another person taken by immigration enforcement — after being stopped by MPD.

Why is MPD making stops if this is the result? The mayor and Chief Smith have said MPD isn't supposed to do immigration enforcement — so why does this keep happening? www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/v...

This thread is a needed reminder of why it is so important to avoid SARS-CoV-2 and not spread it. I’m so sorry this awful virus has stolen so much from Jessica. #MaskUp #VaxUp #SpreadLoveNotSARS2
I’m living a ghost of a life. I may never eat normally again. And it makes it so hard to watch people expose themselves to Covid over and over knowing that THIS could be not even the outcome, but some kind of midpoint.

Please do not get this disease, and please do not give it to anyone else.

SHUT THE FUCK UP SHELDON
The sooner we get past internal recriminations and back to fighting united, the better off we all are — the likelier our victory next November.

Casual reminder that the myth of “pulling yourself up by your bootstraps” is a cruel hoax designed to convince poor people from all walks of life that the injustices they face are a result of their own actions, rather than an oppressive system rigged against them.

Assume all the yes and no votes from Dem senators are strategic and not sincere votes. The party caucus made a decision. No way to know how many were in favor. Then the caucus decided who would vote yes and no based on what would protect each of them politically the most. That’s how this works.
November 10, 2025 at 2:12 AM
This is just so fucking cynical. We do not have an opposition party in the middle of an authoritarian regime. Goddesses save us.
The caucus meeting was just to orchestrate who would fall on the sword but not be up for a vote in 2026.
so currently defectors are:

Kaine (2030)
Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)
Durbin (Retiring)
CCM (2028)
Rosen (2030)
King (2030)

Maybe important to note it was the disruption in air travel that Democrats couldn't stand and not, you know, 40+ million people not knowing where their next meal was coming from.

Senators on the brink of retirement who lived full, wealthy lives and never feared the loss of their own healthcare voting for their constituents to die from their inability to afford the same is treasonous

OH MY GOD SHUT THE FUCK UP CHUCK
Schumer: "However this vote turns out, this fight will and must continue. Democrats must fight."
November 10, 2025 at 2:11 AM
Exactly like the deal they got in March when @alsobrooks.senate.gov had a separate bill to undo the $1billion damage to DC’s budget, which also went fucking nowhere. Chuck Schumer killed the Democratic Party.
Sanders: That is a totally meaningless gesture. You can get 100 votes here and it won't mean anything because the House is not going to take it up.

Democrats have to stop bailing out Republicans from facing the consequences of their own policies. And yeah, that means they have to stop sparing voters from experiencing what GOP government truly means.

Every time Dems step in, it only emboldens the GOP & they make it even worse the next time.
So Democrats get:

1. A CR that will prevent the GOP from facing the wrath of Americans for a shutdown over the holidays

2. A coupon for one (1) meaningless ACA vote that will fail

3. An end to the illegal RIF/SNAP moves that are already before the courts

Those all seem like wins for the GOP.

Did someone say concentration camps?
This is horrifying.

ICE has been failing to meet its daily quota and as a result they’ve grabbed children, disabled people, citizens and literally anyone else they can get their hands on.

If they convert warehouses into huge camps, no one will be safe:

Those of you with senators should call them and tell them not to fall for the GOP’s offer to hold the football. Please do it for the 700k people in DC who can’t.
November 9, 2025 at 9:38 PM
One if the worst parts if living in DC is not having ANY senators to call for anything ever.
November 9, 2025 at 10:22 PM
I have zero representation in the Senate, so if any of these people are your senators, call them now & tell them to hold the line.
Sens. Jeanne Shaheen (N.H.)
Maggie Hassan (N.H.)
Sens. Jacky Rosen (Nev.),
Tammy Baldwin (Wis.), Mark Kelly (Ariz.),
Jon Ossoff (Ga.),
Gary Peters (Mich.) Dick Durbin (Ill.)

the Democrats who are are considered by R's as possible “yes” votes for the deal.
Call the United States Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and they will connect you with your senator's office.

If you're represented by one of the squishier centrists, be sure to make a call. Now.

Was literally in a conference on immigration law & policy last month where keynote speaker Fareed Zakaria told everyone that “illegal immigrants” was the correct term to use, that Democrats need to stop calling them “Latinx,” a word he alleged Ds invented, & said asylum seekers are lying.
November 9, 2025 at 2:33 PM
The fact that @mayorbowser.dc.gov didn’t not know or think this would be part of the deal where she sacrifices everyone for her precious stadium belies her assertions that she knows what she’s doing & knows what’s best for DC. Resign Muriel!
