Really noticing a big influx of hoverflies on small asters and buttercups in the meadow project. Here on hawkweed left in the lawn area. They must go elsewhere at night coz the flowers close up, maybe bushes and long grass 🤷♂️

Blackshade bridge canal junction brideg area Co. Meath seems to have a wonderful cacophony of bird song and birds with easy photo and video opportunities for birders who know what they are doing (unlike me). Lovely reed buntings here but also many a warbler. @meathbirder.bsky.social
