This time, with the stunning, gorgeous, fully-gender envy avatar that is TRISS (Any/All), Half-Elf Paladin!

Triss stands tall, back straight with a noble posture as if a string is pulling up from the crown of their head. They are dressed in opulent and lavish clothing that resembles finery found on a court jester. Hues of baby blue, lavender and pink are accented by pearlescent whites. Ruffles, lace and crushed expensive velvet adorn every inch of their body, from the tip of their white gloves to her rococo-like heel, bow and all. The only show of skin is the beautifully sculpted face, androgynous in the way that they could look in one direction and she appears masculine and look in a different direction and he appears feminine. Powdered and lacquered to perfection. A warm and honey-like skin tone is framed by wispy, princely waves that shift from platinum to honey to strawberry blond and pink undertones. At the crown of their head sits a jester-like cap with a single tail, a brim folded into two soft peaks. With pouty lips, and half-lidded bedroom eyes, violet in color with a hazel brown ring around the irises, the final stroke is the perfectly placed beauty mark right beside their left eye.

Really happy with how these turned out. I tried something different when it came to the penciling portion. Nothing more satisfying than seeing something work out the way you plan for it.

Lastly, the earnestness and respect I was provided in incorporating my Puerto Rican culture and identity to Xio’s journey. I could write an entire separate thread about it. Finding purpose in giving back to the Island that raised him. It is something I yearn for myself.

Xio initially sprung into existence inspired by Monkey D Luffy. I wanted to play with identity, community, family and responsibility. I used that foundation, and then my emotional connection realized Xio into something so much more their own. And I really hope it reflects throughout.

I am all for extensive backstories! With Xio however, I was able to use the world and the story to help me shape them. It was like learning something new about a friend every time it happened. I fell in love with this character.

When I was first asked to join Tolesh, one of the most important things I told myself about this character was that I wanted to start small. A Tiefling warlock/rogue was about basic as one could get. I’m so happy allowed them to evolve with the sandbox.
