Different culture with dad on the outside. That’s the problem. Never had a guy like Deion who is that outspoken and has a near-daily national podium AND is a legitimate threat to be hired as an NFL coach. Entirely unique situation and I don’t think teams view the player as worth the experiment.

No one is passing on Shedeur for any reason other than this: They don’t think drafting him will be good for their team. These guys lose jobs at the drop of a hat… no one is passing on a guy they think makes their team better.

Agree to disagree on the first part. Hard to build a culture. That’s why about 3-4 teams have a good one. No one needs that kind of external headache unless they feel the player is a franchise type guy. And that’s just not (obviously) where teams had Shedeur.

No, it’s not: Jack Sawyer is a heck of a player whose father isn’t going to publicly criticize the organization if he isn’t getting snaps and isn’t going imply, on national television, that he might get the most out of his son if he were the head coach.

Yeah. Teams viewed Nolan Smith as too small. So he slid. Dean was small and injured. Slid. Viewed DeJean as a tweener. Slid. Many teams cannot afford to be wrong: Job security issues. Thin talent on roster. The Eagles benefit from Howie not having those concerns. Can just take the best players.

Would you say Morrison is part of that pre-drop off group of corners? I assume that late 1st group is Hairston and Amos. Revel. But Im curious if Morrison is part of that group or is he in the distant next group?

But… ALL OF THIS is a political consequence. That’s what this IS. THIS is the consequence of needing to be right more than needing to win. People are being thrown into foreign prisons without due process because it’s easier to win when you actually play the game.

He agreed with the Steelers. Could, of course, change his mind before Wednesday. But my guess is he stick with Pittsburgh.

Just coming back to say… Jake earned a massive apology from me. Those kicks last night woulda been good if the uprights were a foot across.

But then I guess we were told Jurgens won’t? That’s a massive loss if he can’t go.

Phew.

If the Rams manage to score twice that’s the difference between OT and losing the game.

I just want a guy who can make an extra point.

I hear what you’re saying. And I largely agree with you. But there are definitely kickers who aren’t gonna miss an XP per game on the street. Hell. Braden Mann might make em.
