Both Elektra and Kirigi's powers were all over the place. As for the others, tattoo guy had terrible taste. The eagle was good for spying, but only a wolf, snakes, and a spider? How about a fire-breathing dragon or a tiger? A hippo would’ve been good too; they're scary. What a crappy movie.

Mark wasn't any better. He tells Elektra he knew she was there to kill them the moment she rented the house, but he didn't run. What did he think was going to happen? This makes the Hand look like a bunch of ineffectual idiots. How could those 2 have got away from the evil ninjas?

Down There was considered outrageous when it was published so I'm curious to see if it's still shocking more than a century later. I get why people were upset at the time, but nowadays, a Host probably wouldn't make it to any top 10 of weird things people stick up their butts.

I don't care how many times Huysmans has him say they intrigue him, those letters read like the work of a neurotic stalker. The book has been a good read so far, and maybe this will all connect in the end, but right now it's an unwelcome detour.

Getting out of the car after seeing the creepy doll he just buried by the window? Going to the abandoned theatre in the middle of the night?🙄 And why did Mary Shaw wait so long to get to Jamie + his father? Yes, the Edward puppet was creepy, but what was Ellie, the perfect doll, doing all that time?

This forces Jamie to return to his doll-cursed hometown where the ghost of a vengeful ventriloquist and her many, many dolls await.😱 The premise alone is creepy because it involves ventriloquist's dummies, but the plot falls apart when you think too much about it. Also, Jamie was an idiot.

The nearly empty hellish level with its weird noises + hooded figures was more unsettling than more elaborate visions of Hell. There's no demon host telling you what to do, just never-ending corridors, past sins ready to kill you, and monk creatures trying to bite you.

They really should’ve tried to leave when Papillon told them about the evil tunnel where no one comes back from. That should’ve been a major red flag, but maybe by then they were already doomed.

The references to the previous movies didn't really work. The excessive focus on the chainsaw felt forced. The beginning at the cabin + the "1 day earlier" gimmick was dumb. So, we’re expected to believe Jessica was in the building the whole time and noticed nothing? Seriously?🙄

However, the possessed zombies were established so well as an unstoppable threat that it was hard to believe there could be any survivors. And how did they even manage not to be possessed while being so close to the zombies?

Anyone expecting virgin sacrifices + orgies with sexy demons is going to be very disappointed.
