It’s not often I get to tell a fun story for TV do I’m glad I was able to spin this tale about book girlies:
They lined up around the block for Vancouver’s first romance book store!

Wish I could’ve been there to ask them what they bought 👀

Anyone not wanting to be fact-checked during an election campaign needs some fact-checking double-downing! To push back against CTV cancelling their newly announced election fact-checking segment with journalist Rachel Gilmore following the Polievre campaign taking issue with being fact-checked:
CTV just backtracked on fact-checking the election. Just to verify, would these be the four email address to send a polite but strongly worded complaint?

Can we all agree to stop calling Autocrats "strong men" and recognize that real strength is exemplified by those who stand up to abusers in positions of power?

(Please note the following exception to the boycott)
Indie authors are largely poor and struggling and we rely on the income we get from our books. Don’t include indie books in your boycott, please. It directly hurts struggling creatives who are faced with corporations, an impossible industry and rising living costs alongside falling royalty returns.
Hey, how about we not boycott Kindle Unlimited authors?!!!. You know the authors that are mostly BIPOC and LGBTQ+ authors?

Congratulations are in order, in that i finally sent my final draft edit to my editor for copy-editing. So overdue I'll be lucky if she remembers my name and is still actually editing manuscripts.

Also Gene Hackman, apparently - wtf? Such a solid actor in so many favourite films.

RIP Leon the Lobster. He was a lucky lobster who crossed paths with a curious aquatic animal lover at a seafood market. That rescue granted him three extra years of life plus internet fame. I guess I've been watching his YouTube videos that long. Long enough to shed tears for lucky Leon.

A moment for petty resistance:
1. Google Gulf of Mexico
2. Click on the 3 little dots to the right of "Gulf of America"
3. "Send Feedback"
4. Click on "Gulf Of America" text
5. Select "Inaccurate content"
6. Select "Incorrect" & type "The rest of the world calls it Gulf of Mexico" or what I wrote👇

This is a far more important story than many realize. The attacks on national publicly accountable broadcasting is coordinated on the right. I’ll do this 🧵 in 3 parts to avoid being overly long. Part 1: #PierrePoilievre #ElonMusk & the far right disinfo brain-washing ecosystem. #cdnpoli #cdnmedia

It's official. I'll be attending next year's Ignited By Books Author Event in Toronto on September 13, 2025. Mostly romance authors, but a few other genres as well.
Proceeds always go to a designated charity, which will be announced in the new year.
