I'll admit I used to be part of that faction but eventually mellowed out and accepted that of course a series this long running is going to have a lot of one off characters. If anything my problem with the series now is they can't seem to stick with a fun idea long enough to polish it (i.e. 2 games)

Feels like nowadays if you ain't outside of the four main heroes you're not guaranteed to show up, although granted I'll admit I don't play every single Sonic game anymore

I wasn't really a fan of Marine but I admit it IS weird that she mostly just fell off the face of the earth after that game

Exactly. And I wish more people would accept that it's ok to like things that you know have issues. People rightfully shit on Mega Man 8 all the time (well, unless all they have to say is "lol the dub is bad") but I appreciate that it at least TRIED to shake up what was a 10 year old formula.

Still, I wouldn't mind hearing what you have to say sometime! I'll admit I've got a bad habit of nitpicking when it comes to video games I've actually played but there's very little I genuinely hate as opposed to just accepting that they're not for me.

I tried really hard to like this game but all those stupid, grindy Venture missions are what finally killed it for me. I still don't think Volition deserved to go under for it, but Saints Row as a series certainly does.
