Followup: Discord Support reverted the account to my email address for recovery, and I was able to get it back. I still worry about the potential for back-doors remaining for a 2nd-pass attack, so I still don't expect anyone to trust that account, but at least I was able to get back into my servers.

President Hernandez was serving 45 years in prison for a plot to distribute 400 tons of cocaine before Trump pardoned him. Meanwhile, Trump is murdering fishermen in small boats for allegedly smuggling far smaller amounts.
“Additionally, I Will be granting a Full and Complete Pardon to Former President Juan Orlando Hernandez who has been, according to many people that | greatly respect, treated very harshly and unfairly.”

Imagine if the Mexican govt blew up US fishing boats merely because they suspected them of smuggling guns into country. The US would go to war. Trump thinks he’s allowed to do anything he wants to other countries, but they must not dare to even think of doing the same to the US. That’s imperialism!
Ask Republicans if it would be OK for the Mexican military to blow up a US fishing boat because they believed it was smuggling deadly guns into Mexico and offered zero evidence. “It’s a ‘river of iron’ that has slaughtered hundreds of thousands!”
Would that be acceptable to them? If not, WHY not?
Awful: Sen Tim Kaine reached out to numerous GOP Senators to ask them to join his letter laying out basic questions for Trump about drug boat bombing, Senate staffer tells me. Zero Rs agreed.

Democrats should commit now to disregarding any presidential pardons issued before charges have been filed. Whether or not Trump tries to sign blanket pardons for officials like Hegseth, they should be arrested as soon as Trump leaves office.

To put a finer point on this whole thing: "Two people with direct knowledge of the operation" — presumably uniformed military leaders — are accusing the U.S. Secretary of Defense of personally ordering specific war crimes. That's a historic accusation.

Democrats have a tendency to look at the polling on immigration and think they need to start with some version of, "of course ms-13 is an evil organization that....etc.etc.etc"

They're adopting the Republican frame, the very first words out of their mouths link immigration with gang violence

A creator can BECOME an employer that appropriates someone’s labor, but that’s not being a creator in itself is. Us making passive money on book rights does not make us principally like the exploiting class in any sensible class analysis.

One of the simplest ways to see that creators aren’t bourgeois is that we don’t, as creators, appropriate other peoples’ labor.

We do labor that we can eventually make money from, we don’t make money from exploiting others. It’s the exploitative relation that characterizes the bourgeoisie.
Honestly, people calling creators the "petite bourgeoisie" makes me want to snap.

We're working folk. And we work really hard. For next to nothing.

We're not lounging around eating bonbons. We're trying to figure out how we're going to be able to pay rent next month.

No consumer-facing LLMs or generative "A.i." in anything.

Sure, machine learning in science and a few other limited applications is fine.

But consumer-facing LLMs and generative "A.i." that are based on theft, push disinfo, and can be manipulated by billionaires?

No.
