I’m 100% ok with gatekeeping incels. If you can’t handle a woman being the protagonist or a non-white person being the protagonist of a video game, I don’t think you deserve to play games.

One of the things level designers often have to manage is "I have THIS much space, which the player can cross in x time, and I have THIS much dialogue which takes y time to play." And pretty often is y > x
There's ways to manage this - slow down the player, shuffle dialogue around, etc

Video game characters are not actually real. They don’t bleed, they can’t get their feelings hurt, they can’t be betrayed because they are a collection of pixels and code and words and sound files.
The game devs I’m lucky to work with are real people who deserve at least basic human respect.

Anyway maybe instead of harassing and bullying the devs because they didn’t make choices you wanted, maybe yall should be using that energy to donate towards the DA Day Tiltify campaign and/or idk directly sponsoring Palestinian & Lebanese families so they don’t die this winter from genocide

While I wish for another dragon age game, I personally hope veilguard is the last one cs the fandom doesn’t deserve it all. They demanded for a sequel and get mad when it’s not according to their fanfiction or headcanon despite the devs fighting for it to be shipped

I'm proud to have worked with John Epler for well over a decade. Collaborating with him on the narrative of Veilguard was one of the highlights of my career. All the narrative folks worked together as a team to make our story, and John helped create some of my favorite moments. ❤️
