Social media and the parallel evolution of “cringe” has robbed the world of whimsy and color.

There were times not long ago when the absurd and outlandish could fire our imaginations.

Never forget what they took from you!

Python was awarded a funding grant, funding grant asked Python foundation to remove all diversity and inclusion initiatives they have.

Python foundation said no and rejected the grant.

If you use Python, send a few dollars to the charity to keep it going. I’m pushing a dono on behalf of ScamGuard.

Guillermo del Toro on wealth: "a wealthy man is a man who has enough, not a man that needs more. If you have enough to invite someone for a beer? You're rich. If you have a yacht, planes, islands, and you still need more? You're not rich."

If you're using Windows 11, Microsoft is now surveilling you in a new way. This may already be turned on on your computer, and you would not be notified; it activates whenever they detect you are in a "game", which in my experience Microsoft often false-positives on

If you’re thinking about switching to Linux, consider how you save your files

If you have any large NTFS data stores, prepare to have those be read-only until you can transition them to another file system, and consider the logistics behind that.

Yes.

But Ghamak is a thief, stealing frok other artists for years. And with his "fundraising" he's also a grifter.

I don't care about the outcome, I just think people shouldn't be making Ghamak to be something he's not.

For me, from like... 1997 until 2001 I played LARPs on most Friday and Saturday nights. D&D was what a handful of us would go play after the LARP was over. But there were 30+ LARPers, and maybe 6 of us also played D&D.

Until 3.0 came out, it was practically dead, at least around here.
Just thinking on this overall, it's strange how much of the 90s stuff is kinda forgotten. People have documented all these obscure twist and turns in the 80s. Everyone remembers The Forge. But even the "deep" historical looks at the 90s only cover a handful of main designers and company dramas.
