Tamuran is a 700+ page epic fantasy about unqualified misfits on a journey to save their home from powerful sorcerers bearing an ancient grudge. Magic, dragons, shapeshifters, messy characters, found family, copious snark. Eventual LGBT+.

In my novel setting, dragons are living geographical features, sort-of deities, and conduits for magic, anchoring the spirit world to the material. This is not from those stories, but maybe it should be…

Currently I do the rough sketch digitally, then print it out and do final pencils, inks, and ink wash shading on paper.

A large, brown, furry, quadrupedal creature coils around a nervous-looking young blond man in a blue uniform jacket and a green cloak, who clutches a sheathed sword uselessly. The creature has pointed ears, huge dark eyes, spikes running down his back, and a big grin with lots of sharp teeth. Hello! I am admittedly terrible at social media, so we'll see how this goes, but here's a painting to start things off, at least. This is the new Book 1 cover art for my fantasy webcomic, Tamuran. Watercolor on Arches paper.
