I always struggle to feel bad when someone who spent their life seething with hatred towards so many others, including people like me.
I will not be nice merely because they are no longer with the living.
At best, I feel bad for those in their orbit who are dealing with the aftermath.

A conversation in Discord led me to think about my grandma, who passed away (several years ago at this point) while affected by Alzheimer's.
It's such a rough life, not just for them, but for those around them. She'd call me her brother (not so bad) but would also forget who my mom was.

I came close to buying into the Iraq War bullshit, mainly because they had Colin Powell selling the lies.
A professor at the time asked me a simple question: why should I accept everything CP says at face value?
