Still need to tweak the cursor size, cursor behavior, and maybe play with the placement of the commands at the bottom, but I got the nametable, attribute table, and variable placement working correctly!

This is what I have to put up with while working. My leg is horizontal, angled so he can sit on both the upper and lower leg where my knee bends. My foot balanced on a filing cabinet under the desk. It is load-bearing, and is slowly starting to get sore.

Current progress on splatteworld: here's the retooled shop screen. Not final, but a big step. Item names are placeholder, but we're limited at ~14 characters max due to how inventory screens are laid out. But it's still a damn sight better than 8. Before and after attached.

Rather than leave this buried in the thread, gonna drop it top level: some basic Splatterworld progress, text is extractable, though 1) some control characters need to be defined, 2) all the blocks need to be enumerated, and 3) it needs to get pushed to a g-sheets spreadsheet instead of flatfile.

Found an old copy of my website circa 2007, and honestly other than using frames the layout isn't awful by today's standards? Only real knock is that the projects list is just a big long single column. What strikes me is how similar in general form and function the current site still is.

As we get into the spoopy season this week for #RandomGameSaturday we have Full Quiet, a new (ish) horror sidescroller for the NES! The game has a large contiguous world, a day/night cycle (don't get caught out at night!) and does a lot with Morse code.

After all that I ended up junking Banpresto's copyright font. New one is at01. At 15pt all caps, gimp renders it perfectly as 7 pixels tall, leaving just enough space for a drop shadow. grafxkid.itch.io/at01

For an idea of what went into these, for even just this one screen, I:
* Added a 3rd line to the text
* Added extra tiles to fit "DOWNTOWN QUIZ" onto the background banner
* Added extra tiles to Kunio's name sprite
* Translated the other contestants' names
That level of care, but across the board :)
