Well, thank you for that.

Your timing is impeccable.

I’ve just had a friend of over 30 years tell me he’s tired of what I post & doesn’t want to be friends anymore b/c he has relatives who are adoptees.

He tells me he can’t take me “wrestling my demons.” My approach is clinical.
His is personal.

2) I learned adoptee fog is fear, obligation & guilt; pretty much my entire life.

Finding a community that understood what I thought & felt was unexpected. Adoptees are not a monolithic group.

Some have given me insight, courage or inspiration.

I understand others' anger & vitriol.🥚

1) Until 3 yrs ago, I hadn't heard of the Baby Scoop nor adoptee fog.

When I put my personal history up against current & historical data, I had my eyes opened.

I'm remarkable only in that I am not remarkable.

I'm just another stat in a system I'd never examined prior to the death of my parents.

The meme is not quite accurate. It's the premiseI'm emphasizing.

Dogs should not be separated from their mother until week eight, not week six or seven.

I would love to have an alpaca or a llama though.

#NAAM does not have the impact in Canada as it does in the largest adoption market on the planet.

It still has legs though. The propaganda still exists.🥚

5) And finally, the adopted son kills his bio father out of a sense of duty to his adopted father.🥚#NAAM

Yes, your specific situation about a consenting adult is exactly the same as when children who cannot even understand what they’d be consenting to have their original birth certificates sealed & altered ones replace them to create new identities for their parents’ purposes.

This is a red herring.

While degrees of "openness" alleviate some grief over relinquishment, open adoptions are not enforceable and don't solve all grief.

Equally, who defines what getting over the grief looks like if a woman marginalized by society has no outlet for her voice?

4) ...in Hellebæk and high school in Espergærde and then took a bachelor's and master's degree from Copenhagen Business School, Roosa Murto has an easier time getting Danish citizenship than he has. She has lived in Denmark for eight years and will soon submit a declaration of Danish citizenship...

3)Compared to other foreigners, Nordic citizens have easy access to Danish citizenship. This can usually be done with a declaration, if you otherwise meet quite a few requirements. But even though Jakob Lee Gunnløgsson grew up in Denmark and has lived here for almost 32 years, went to primary school

2) Jakob Lee Gunnløgsson is 34 years old and has Norwegian citizenship, and his girlfriend Roosa Murto is 33 years old and has Finnish citizenship. Now they also want to be Danish citizens, because both live and work in the financial sector in Denmark, and they want their future family to be Danish.

The growing field of epigenetics and gene expression lets us know science is catching up to what too many people already know and refuse to acknowledge; removal from a gestational woman is a trauma and affects long term brain development.

There's no question; there's a lack of public knowledge.🥚

4) In subsequent episodes, the biological mother’s murder is justified because she was a drug addicted whore.

And so the reason adoption is a public good comes full circle in the ongoing social/cultural narrative. ⭕️

3) The character of the adoptive father (played by Kevin Costner) told his adopted son, “I will call you son because I’ve earned the right,” by providing love, kindness, protection & guidance.

He goes further by saying an adoptee has the privilege of deciding who to call father when others don’t.

2) Since his bio father murdered his bio mother, the court clerk tells him to go easy on his parents as
“I wouldn’t want you to know that either.”

Babies become adults.

No one has the right to keep another person’s identity a secret; good intentions be damned.

While watching Yellowstone, the Netflix series, the character of Jamie Dutton learns (just before he’s sworn in as the Attorney General of Montana) he is adopted.

He’s in his mid-40s when he finds out.🥚
