Someone at the grocery store asked me how to tell which ones are hot, and I said I usually find out when I rub my eyes after cutting them.

Ha! No worries. I have always taken it to be something said by someone without wealth who doesn't respect the wealthy, and so is saying that God gives a crappy thing to crappy people. It's both a rationalization and a sick burn.

What about unknowable friends of a decade or longer?
This is fascinating. I am very curious about how much these groups were in dialogue with others around the world, and it's really cool to read this.
