OMG, could this be dumber (well, use of the word "colonizer" is the first dumb red flag).
Do you really think many "MAGA types" are moving to *Mexico City*?!? Beach towns and retiree enclaves like San Miguel/Lake Chapala, sure. But CDMX is big, messy, loud, urban, very Mexican.

Punched my urbanist card today by not only biking in Amsterdam, but biking with my baby in a bakfiet. (He rode commuter rail and bus yesterday.) The ubiquity of biking here, among all types, is incredible. (I've never struggled more with crossing and merging into bike traffic.)

Discussion in the other place about it being good for everyone when adults' lives don't revolve around kids' activities, and the kids have to learn to deal with adult activities. (I agree!)
This one hit me.

Problems w/ Twitter are serious and well-documented, but this is not a good signal for robust discourse on BlueSky, either.

The Office of the Mayor of New York seems cursed.*

I'm using BSky more and Twitter less lately b/c the latter is increasingly untenable, but this place has a bit of a liberal circle-jerk, closed to discussion quality that's smug and annoying. Case-in-point re: block. (I'd note that numerous U.S. Senators have said they regret forcing Franken out.)

Spot-on parody of discourse involving housing supply and "developers" bogeyman.

Drove to a museum in Pasadena and only used the Thomas Guide, no online/mobile directions. Still got it! #OldSchoolLA

Here is a great example of *smart* liberal advocacy orgs thanking a politician (even if she may not be their favorite) for doing something they asked.
By contrast, Biden & nat'l Dems kept delivering for the far Left on climate, loans, etc., yet they only complained about him more.
