There's still stuff I could tweak, but I decided to call it done here. I tried to color grade it to match the feel of the original film.

I needed to do something fun that was just for me, so I've been trying to do an effects shot using practice footage from ActionVFX. It's still a work in progress (especially the roto,) so let me know if there's anything you think I can do to improve it.

Finally, give Johnson and Thel much larger roles right away. Without being a game, they'd have more freedom for character interactions and scenes that follow other characters. Establish Chief and Johnson as friends, and show Thel's failure that leads to him becoming the Arbiter and Chief's ally.

Controversially, I'm going to say let Chief take his helmet off, but only on very special occasions. After destroying the first ring, when having to abandon Cortana, and when Johnson dies. The rest of the time, animation allows for more expression, even with a solid helmet.

Have some truly epic action scenes. Imagine scenes like this, but it's the Master Chief fighting a Brute or Elite. It's not needed every episode, but I think fans would be happier if there was more Human vs Covenant action, which is easier in animation.

Make it fun. Nearly every on-screen tie-in has been too dark and depressing, but they seem to forget that the games have plenty of lighter and more humorous moments. This is why Odd One Out is one of my favorite episodes of Legends. It's one of the only ones without a sad ending.

I was thinking about how I would adapt #Halo if Microsoft ever decides to give it another go.
I would go for a 2d anime show on Netflix. I know a lot of fans would want Blur cutscene visuals, but I imagine that would be way too expensive.

Back in November 2008, I had a really painful dentist trip. But I didn't mind because I knew that by the time I got home, the new Enterprise would officially be revealed. When I first saw it, I didn't know if I liked it. Now it's my favorite Enterprise.

I never showed this WIP 3d anime head. It's supposed to be Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor, based partly on artwork by Haffy over on Twitter. I'm not good at likenesses, so it doesn't quite work for me yet.
