‘The culture of complaint disgusts me’: Werner Herzog on walking without a backpack and the kindness of strangers
When the American director Errol Morris saw Werner Herzog’s film Fata Morgana for the first time, he was heard to mutter: ‘I didn’t know anyone was allowed to write things like this.’ I didn’t know anyone was allowed to live like this. Herzog’s new memoir Every Man For Himself and God Against All is astonishing

On Wednesday, during the booth crawl, I will be taking part in the biggest event at KubeCon. Alongside the one-and-only (thankfully) @bretfisher.com , we will be hosting "The CVE Price is Right" at the Chainguard booth. Come along to win amazing prizes (Bret's broken juicer)!

Pretty sure there was a discussion last night where the 3yo swapped shifts so they'd be up for baby gymnastics today.

Michael suggests that a reader has two questions in mind:
- is this relevant to me?
- is it worth my time?
And a good hook will make this clear -- so keep those questions in mind the next time you're writing!

One of the first topics is on finding and refining the "hook" for your post. You only have the title and a couple of sentences to convince people that your article is worth reading, so you have to make them count. Too many articles fail at this, and go nowhere as a result.

It was a great event, many thanks to the organisers and everyone who attended my talk. It was a sponsored slot, so I get into how @chainguard.dev Containers and Chainguard Libraries can help prevent attacks like the recent NPM ones.
