I agree with your basic point about Trump. It’s a valid editorial assertion either way in any case. Not sure Starmer had much to do with it - this was an internal coup. What is missing is any defence of the idea of the BBC though.

You go too far! I know it’s become fashionable to say Chamberlain wasn’t so bad really but I’m not buying that for an instant. He sold the last democracy in central Europe, with a motivated and well equipped army and natural defences, for a piece of paper.

Churchill hated him because of the abdication and Government of India Act as well as appeasement, but actually Baldwin deserves more heat over appeasement than even Chamberlain imho

Finding myself a bit upset thinking about this. That wasn't a good bit of a generally happy childhood.

You don't want to know. I would never have sung them but they celebrated killing British soldiers. I remember even as 8 or 9 year old being disgusted by seeing other children celebrate people's deaths this way.

I looked it up. The limit is two *consecutive* terms - so he could be here for ever if he finds a job share!!. Even that limit has only applied since 2010
