... I'm loving it. I've been looking forward to this book for a while. It fits so snuggly into my aesthetic. I'm listening and have the library version for my child person. Which worked well cause I get to take nice pics 💙📚

The season have changed & most of my dandelions have gone to bed for the winter. This year had a surge of different varieties, ones I hadn't seen. It's magical here. The way the seasons come & go is so visceral, so much more than if it were just lawn.
I'll miss this place & its magic.

I'm in love with this process. So completely involved in the creation of a story in all it's parts... The design, the carving, inking the block and holding my breath to see what came through, the flaws, the grit, and most of all the words. The words are my longest love, my divine.

Raise! One bug ...err... Party...
Entirely too many harlequin beetles getting their freak on. They are stacked maybe three deep in this pile, and many have spilled off and are clinging to the edge of the wall. Don't worry, there were more piles just off camera. They are on top of a concrete wall beside a Belladonna lily, out of focus, which is flowering and gorgeous and deadly. The petals are hot pink and daintly curled, and their stems are fleshy and purple. The beetles are banded orange and black with some white spots down the middle of their back. You can't see it, but underneath their bellies are a brilliant mix of greens and blues and turquoise.
