Waaa thank you so much Mori!!! That angle is HARD I’m so glad you like it 💕

In fairness I haven’t played KH in years 🙇‍♂️ but I still remember how fun it was…oh Sora, the icon you are…

It’s nice to microdose that same whimsy by playing as him in Smash once in a while 🤭

It’s never too late, welcome to the club (I love this story so much, their JayVik angst is some of the literal best out there :’) )

Saying with full confidence they’d *easily* simultaneously profit immensely while absolutely rocking the entire *world* if they just took the very obvious choice *staring at them in the face* to make the movie *ANIMATED* what are they THINKING

Also very, very much appreciate that Frankenstein’s parents genuinely love each other and all of their children immensely, actually. (The movie’s adaptation of this part was so gratuitously harrowing…)

Ups the intrigue a little I suppose? Although I enjoy Frankenstein’s further fleshing out of that initial character (Capt. Walton) to the point where he’s attracted to Frankenstein, how sweet! “Tarzan”’s first narrator is not given anywhere near that amount of depth…don’t think they even have a name

So now I’m reading Frankenstein for the first time. Right off the bat I’m amused that both this book and “Tarzan of the Apes” use the same device in the beginning, where the first chapter or so is narrated by someone else saying basically “This is someone *else’s* story as it was told to me.”

I reread this—through the entire le Monstre series, Tarzan not only meets Frankenstein’s creature but also the phantom of the opera and dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

After some brief research the other two characters’ original stories don’t…really seem as interesting to me…

Even with my very limited knowledge at the time of first reading, I knew this was a huge cop-out of a way to end the story. Sheesh.

Which basically means Tarzan heard frankenstein ’s creature express his sadness and loneliness and responded with “have you considered going to the literal center of the earth where literally nobody else lives except for dinosaurs and cavemen :)”

For context, Pellucidar is another series by Tarzan author Edgar Rice Burroughs, and the name of the fictional world he created that exists at the earth’s core.

I’d have to reread it to fully remember but the one thing I *do* remember is that at the end, the creature tells Tarzan how he’s all alone in this world since he’s a freak of nature or whatever, and Tarzan puts a hand on his shoulder with a smile: “have you heard of Pellucidar ?”
