That mall was closed shortly before they filmed that and sat abandoned for decades. Finally torn down in 2012. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dixie_S... “Baby clothes,” and “new Oldsmobiles are in early this year,” are frequently quoted whenever my partner and I are shopping.

This was a) the first YA Alien book, b) Mira Grant's first YA novel, and c) the only Alien book to ever make an ALA recommended reading list. I was and remain very proud of it. I make no royalties for eBay sales; I just check periodically to see what's out there.
