Our findings remind us to move forward without losing sight of the field’s nuances and limitations (and yes, it took a few complex figures to show it 😅).

We combined mobile EEG technology (Wearable sensing, mBrainTrain, Emotive) with classic ERP science — tracking how consistent the N100 & P300 are across systems, designs, & contexts.

‏I’m deeply grateful to the amazing team that made this possible, to the scientists who advised along the way, and to my superiors Bruce McCandliss, whose trust and guidance allowed this vision to happen .

‏I’m just beginning to dig into the data (and there’s a lot), but I’ve never been more excited about the potential this work holds—for science, for education, and for the kids at the center of it all.

‏Together with inspiring teachers, curious students, and the Brainwave Learning Center team at Synapse School, we recorded EEG from the same students both in our in-school lab and during their regular classes—math, language arts, social skills, and STEAM.
