I accidentally watched the first couple of episodes of Battlestar Galactica out of order and revelled in the fresh story telling approach and flashbacks. When I realised and started from the beginning I found it way less interesting and gave up quickly
Once, as a TV reviewer, I remember watching the first episode of a new series and delighting in its lack of tedious exposition, how it allowed us to learn about characters by their actions, with no thick wodges of lore or backstory to digest. Turns out I'd started with Episode Two by mistake. 1/2

Not that any Dem leadership is turning to me for advice but there needs to be a big rip-the-band-aid-off, real talk meeting, and all the 65-80 yo olds who have been told “be patient, your time is coming” that they’ve missed their window. It’s passed time to build for the future.
Mamdani should win but he's the latest example of the Democratic Party closing ranks to keep anyone young and exciting and full of energy out of the party - and then they spend countless millions on consultants trying to figure out why they're struggling with young voters
