Of course we won’t get a vote now.
Agreed it’s nearly impossible to negotiate with them but they had to be getting pressure to end the shutdown too (from the airlines). I really think the Dems had a decent shot at getting something in exchange for signing the CR.

I don't think the airlines could see beyond the immediate need to reopen the government so there are ATCs and TSA personnel working, so they don't have to cancel flights.

How could someone who’s supposedly a good businessman not know that you can’t expect anyone, especially those critical to operations, to work for nothing.

They've been trying to negotiate this whole time, just not with this offer of a compromise. Trump and Johnson kept telling Reps. to stay home and not negotiate.

Schools in my area switched to straight up asking for the money they need. We never had to worry about bake sales or selling wrapping paper.
