Very flattered that you would ask for an opinion from me. I don't feel like I have any authority on the accuracy of paleoart but I think it's very reasonable to give them fleshy lips hiding the teeth (they might be visible when the mouth is open) and have the skin covering the head crest. Great job!

As far as I know (I'm no ammonite expert), the shell shape wouldn't make the animals great swimmers so it's unlikely they would be good pursuit predators. They were possibly planktonic feeders, waiting to snatch crustaceans, maybe fish or even other cephalopods! (ammonites or belemnites).

Absolutely! As far as I'm aware, we don't really know what kind of evolutionary advantage this shell shape would give the animal. It almost certainly wouldn't make it more hydrodynamic/ a better swimmer (at least for lateral movement)!
