Pierre Poilievre announces he will axe the tolls on the NB-PEI Confederation Bridge.
Tolls apply when leaving PEI, they're $50.25 for a two-axle car.

PEI Premier Lantz has said Mark Carney had given a verbal commitment to Islanders on tolls as well, with announcement pending.

Stewart's exit comes as former MLA Lisa Harris announces she will seek the Liberal banner in Miramichi-Grand Lake.
Harris, who won three provincial election races, lost to Stewart by 1,456 votes in 2021 in attempted switch to federal politics - 2nd closest race that year in #NB.

New Angus Reid poll suggests former Bank of Canada Governor Mark Carney, as the hypothetical leader of the Liberals, has tightened voter intention to a three-point gap.

It's mostly at the expense of the NDP, who have lost half of their vote intention since late December.

New Narrative poll finds a "majority of Maritimers anticipate travelling to the U.S. less in the coming year as a result of Donald Trump’s presidency."

A total of 62%, up from 37%, expect to travel to the U.S. less because of Trump.
