The person who made the Wiktionary recordings has a really perceptually distinct contrast. But on YouTube I'm hearing people lengthen all stressed vowels, even before a geminate(!) and even in the careful speech register you'd expect to be extra contrast-y

They're really good they're like 75% Rice Krispy and 25% Frito. Perfect amount of substance without being weird.
