NWS has issued over 700 warnings for severe t-storms, tornadoes or flash flooding since 8am Wed. All while short-staffed. Truly incredible work, as always!

Do you live in the Southeast U.S.? Did you receive a tornado or severe t-storm warning from the NWS yesterday? Did you feel good knowing someone is watching out for you & letting you know potentially dangerous weather was headed your way? If so, maybe let others know why you think NWS is important.

Sunday's a BIG #NFL football day. However, there will be a #tornado threat in parts of the Deep South.

If a tornado warning is issued anywhere in the area, your station WILL interrupt to cover the storms. You may not be affected, but SOMEONE is. Those viewers at risk deserve full coverage too.

A reminder to folks in all sectors: people with disabilities can excel in their chosen career paths. And offer invaluable perspective. Be an ally. Don't rely on them to educate and self advocate alone. Many already struggle to work in an ableist world. #disabilitysky #disabledinstem #accessibility
I’m Krista, and people who need disability accommodations shouldn’t be scientists.

Folks who think a gathering of scientists constitutes an echo chamber have likely never attended a conference.
