Thinking of all you other queerbies out there finding yourself in those awkward positions where family refers to your partner as your “friend” and won’t acknowledge your romantic life. You don’t deserve that but you also don’t need their validation. Stand in your light and your truth. You earned it

I’d like to think coming out in your 30’s as an adult would make the awkward holiday conversations less triggering… you know, with all those coping and self regulating skills developed through the years. Turns out it doesn’t. Shit still triggers. That sinking feeling in your stomach still happens 🧟‍♂️

I’m not sure that there is a better quiet kind of joy and wholeness than starting a day with this little guy nestled up on you. we don’t deserve dogs 💗
