"The President of the United States is the biggest enemy to peace by not negotiating a cease fire" would be derided as clearly insane by everyone.

@warren.senate.gov, @edmarkey.bsky.social why are Democrats not treating this putsch like the dire emergency it is? Why are we not demanding Elon
Musk be called in front of the Senate to explain? Why are we cooperating?

There are many things that can done in the Senate to make this harder -

You work at Dunks in MA making $15 / hour. You don't have a degree, and you're one of the 40% of Americans who can't cover a $400 emergency expense. 1) What paths exists for you to make a meaningfully higher wage? 2) Can we blame you for voting for *anyone* who says they'll change the system?

@berkie1.bsky.social Johnathan - in a hypothetical world, could direct tax incentives for adjacent homeowners to new housing developments fight NIMBYism? New build goes up, all neighbor's property taxes go down by the amount the new property will add for 5 yrs? Counter "property value" argument?

Do you think MAGA land thinks that they're cool now, since they won the election?

Nope, the rest of us still think you're a bunch of incel dorks. Nice cabinet picks, you incompetent buffoons. Women still aren't going to date you

Our real problem is wealth inequality and the rise of oligarchy.

I don’t care if you’re R or D or I or whatever.

That’s what is actually going on here.

Unfortunately, the country voted for someone who is dead set on making the oligarchy stronger.

They don’t care about us.

FAFO.

His “popular” win continues to be eroded…
Donald Trump is now (1) below 50% popular vote and (2) has a margin of popular vote victory roughly HALF of Hillary's victory in 2016. They believe the left has to lay down and shut up because of this "landslide" victory.

Hi friends!

I just wanted to give a quick update on The Onion’s purchase of InfoWars, which we can’t wait to relaunch as the dumbest website on the internet.

The long and short of it: We won the auction and — you're not going to believe this — the previous InfoWars folks aren't taking it well.

My biggest biz struggle was learning that I needed to meet my customers where they were - to put myself in their shoes and address their needs from the reality of their perspective. Trying to force them to come to me was a losing proposition. Dems must shift perspective and learn the same lesson.

Over simplifications ahead:
The New Deal and Bretton Woods only happened because of the Great Depression. Feminism largely became the norm because of World War 2. The EPA was formed after multiple high profile environmental disasters. The Labor movement gained strength and reformed ... 1/

Really like this article from LiberalCurrents, and I think it makes an important point that the best institutions we know for producing liberals are colleges, cities, and unions, and liberals should really focus on expanding access to those as much as they can

Democrats should call liars liars, crooks crooks, and idiots idiots, and insist - relying on their confidence in their own god-given reason - that none have a place in government. And whenever an opportunity opens or can be created, they just act, unilaterally if necessary, to remove these people.

This is wonky but I think completely on the money: What unites plutocrats and populists? Why are the rubes down with Trump while raging against the "Elites" ? Zero sum, scarcity mindset. In their minds, they win only if we lose.

In these difficult times, it is worth remembering that the climate outlook, though dark, has improved over the last 10 years. We can change our course.
