If middleclass and below have avg. 30% withholdings, than everyone should. Including churches. They accept social services, depend on police, fire, first responders, roads just like the rest of us. If we bump it up to 33% for all earners we could fund a livable wage and healthcare for all.

I'm glad the child didn't inquire about the hamster.

last week I heard her say that she wants the government open so that they could make all of trumps executive orders permanent and signed into law. No. She's not nice.

We need to shift the public perception away from the idea that disability is a moral failing.

We need to be visible, take up space and help people realize that all health is temporary and disability happens to almost everyone.

Inclusion and accessibility matter!

As a person who worked for radiologists for years, I can assure you we absolutely do dig into your questionnaires and gather all medical data behind the scenes that we can. Some screening happens all on the forms. Those forms often let medical staff know what is safe for you; what is needed.

plus healthy food prep often takes a lot more energy than healthy people realize. someone with chronic conditions can't always prep, clean, cook, and then do dishes. It may be automatic for a majority, but it is very difficult for others and that is also no one's business.

also a lot of people on ebt often buy what's on sale and what fills the belly most right now. health can come later, full belly needs are daily. there are also a lot of people with food aversions or any number of issues. freedom means for everybody and it's no one's business what other's eat.

I'm glad I could offer another perspective. Please understand that when having this conversation with birth parents and adoptees, that almost always there is ptsd involved and a lot of times, the stress of having been misunderstood or invalidated has been an ongoing struggle for years or decades.

Yes! That would be awesome.

but the sheer volume of people in line to gladly fulfil this role creates a demand for babies. That's not ideal. We aren't puppies. The child should know the truth, even if it's difficult. Their feelings going through that at various stages throughout their lives is valid and should be acknowledged.

Thank you so much for listening. Honestly. I agree with kinship care whenever possible. If there is no one, it does become really complex and an individualized approach is necessary. Sometimes the best possible outcome would be placing the child (with their identity intact) with another family.
